We are embracing our "time and season" in life. With both of our husbands' in residency, three young children in each of our homes, and our callings in our church, we were rudely awoken from our big "crafty" dream. ;)

So, this will be our last post to this website. We truly enjoyed working on projects together and had a BLAST along the way. Thank you all for your love and maybe we'll see you all in the next season of our lives!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3894140034709975218.post-5782645694364985082010-01-06T17:03:00.000-06:002010-01-06T17:03:08.342-06:00Let It Snow!

So, my sis just called me to tell me that her sister-in-law had favorited this blog, not knowing that she was favoriting a blog of an almost relative! (She figured it out after reading about the authors) How funny is that?! So, that made me think I better jump in here and try to post more often. When you sit down to blog, it feels like you're just talking to yourself and your computer, not really realizing that it's going out into the blogosphere and that others beyond you and your little computer are actually seeing it! So, sorry if you've been checking and we haven't posted much. Candi's in the Young Women's Presidency in our ward and I'm the new Primary President, which, you all probably know are extremely time consuming callings.

In the spirit of the weather that is coming Saint Louis' way, I wanted to post a picture of one of my other favorite blocks: Let It Snow! It is so cute with little ornaments as the "snow" words and silver snowflakes floating down. The Let It is in navy blue. We also found a really cute blue ribbon with glittery snowflakes on it, which makes the craft even more adorable than with the silver ribbon (which, don't get me wrong, is also really cute). I have mine sitting by the front door right now, just beckoning the clouds to let loose! Come on! We want to build a snowman, already. Haha, maybe that's the Montana girl in me begging for snow. The rest of the St. Louisans probably don't really want to see it snow.

As with the other blocks, if you love it, let us know and we'd love to help you get the materials to make this sweet craft. $6 for the vinyl and $25 for the entire craft. The McKameyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03378993311042413598noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3894140034709975218.post-44211152760086199302009-12-07T17:04:00.000-06:002009-12-07T17:41:49.466-06:00Busy, Busy, Busy!

Apparently once the word got out that Kate and I had enough spare time to make crafts, people decided to gang up on us and give us LOTS and LOTS of other things to do. ;) This time of year is crazy enough, but we both also got new (much more time consuming!) responsibilities at our church. I bought the letter M from Hobby Lobby for $1.49 and then mod podged paper on (FYI - the paper came from the same paper pack that I used to make the Gratitude Sign). Then I roughed up the edges and added a little walnut stain. I really love this new addition to our home. Now I just need to find a little more time in the day. Hmmmmmm...

I am so excited about this latest block. It looks so beautiful with the white lights softly glowing on my mantle. Plus, I am so excited how the ribbon and the vinyl match so perfectly. With the lettering and dove cut out and the rest of the vinyl left to color the block, it makes the message so clear to read. If you love it as much as I do, you can make it with all the pieces in the kit for only $25, or you can gather them together and buy the vinyl only for $6, or vinyl and ribbon for $11. I know you will love it as much as I do when it's sitting in your home!
It was such a blast and we hope you had a great time. After such a great turnout, we decided that we wanted to have some kind of reward for people that host our craft classes. So, we came up with a hostess reward program similar to any home party company. Because, after all, who doesn't like free stuff?!?

Craft Classes

We know how much fun it can be to get together with friends and family to make affordable crafts, but sometimes the hassle takes all of the fun out of it. You won't believe how easy we make it to have a craft night! We will teach your craft class at the place of your choice (our home, your home, etc) and provide everything for the projects (paint, brushes, glue, etc). We only ask that you have 5 projects to work on (you can have 3 people doing 5 projects and that's just fine).

Hostess Rewards

We base your hostess rewards on the dollar amount of projects purchased for your class. Even craft kits and custom vinyl for people not in attendance can go towards your total! If your total is $150 or more, you earn 10% of free products (i.e. $200 class earns $20 worth of free products). You can use that credit to purchase crafts, kits, and custom vinyl. Thanks to Bakerella for these fabulous ghosts! To make them, bake a cake mix as directed and cool thoroughly. Crumble it into a bowl and mix with 1 tub icing. Shape into balls and refrigerate. Once firm, shape a little more, dip into melted white chocolate, add the stick and pipe the eyes on! So cute, but BEWARE, they're rich!!

The McKameyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03378993311042413598noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3894140034709975218.post-14936765672427797912009-09-24T11:50:00.003-05:002009-11-04T17:20:42.631-06:00Midwest Pumpkins

My two favorite things about fall combined in one beautiful centerpiece!
