Goin' Batty

How many times have you seen something in a magazine and thought "I can do that myself for 1/2 the cost." I do this all the time and I can't wait to start trying it out. I'll do my best to get this going soon, but in the meantime...

As I was bopping around on crafty sites tonight, I saw this fun bat chandelier made with embroidery hoops on Heartland Paper and couldn't figure out why it looked so familiar.

Then it came to me - Pottery Barn Kids! I saw this cute picture in the catalog the other day:

The difference? One is $59 and one is...well, the other is a lot less.

Ghosty Cake Pops

These delightful goodies are so cute, who couldn't resist them? Thanks to Bakerella for these fabulous ghosts! To make them, bake a cake mix as directed and cool thoroughly. Crumble it into a bowl and mix with 1 tub icing. Shape into balls and refrigerate. Once firm, shape a little more, dip into melted white chocolate, add the stick and pipe the eyes on! So cute, but BEWARE, they're rich!!

Midwest Pumpkins

My two favorite things about fall combined in one beautiful centerpiece! For this project, just get yourself a white pumpkin, dry some leaves for 5 days between paper towels in a book, and then decoupage them onto the pumpkin! So easy, but so elegant! Thanks to Midwest Living for this great idea ... and there are a dozen other ideas on their website, like these cute little "Mumkins."

The Medicine Man

Want a cute, inexpensive idea to decorate your mantel for Halloween?

Just take some of your old bottles & jars and glue on some free labels by Johnny Love, which you can find on his flickr page. Add some creepy, crawly contents & a little spider webbing on the outside and - Whah-lah! You've got your own little medicine man collection!

Many, many thanks to Amy with "The Idea Room" for allowing me to post her incredible pictures! If you've never checked out her site, get over there quick. She's amazingly talented.

Monogram Wreath

We're planning on updating the blog frequently with easy decorating ideas, so be sure to check in every once & awhile or become a "follower." Here's one that I just love!

Monograms have been popular for a few years and it's such a simple way to personalize a wreath. Thanks to Lindsay for this great idea!

Our First Class!!!

We are so excited to announce our first monthly craft class! Our first project will be this darling "Spooky Countdown" for Halloween. It turned out so cute, we can't wait to share the idea!

We will have everything to make this adorable craft: Wood blocks, wood base, paint, brushes, paper, mod podge, and vinyl. It doesn't get much easier than that, right?

Now, how much would you be willing to pay for such a fantastic craft? (Do I sound like a game show host?!) We are charging $10 for everything! I know...crazy, huh? ;)

We've planned 3 different dates at Candi's house:

Saturday, September 26th at 10am
Wednesday, September 30th at 9am
Wednesday, September 30th at 7pm

If those dates don't work with your schedule, we offer private classes at your own chosen time and place for at least 5 people. Our one condition for all classes is that you find a sitter for the kiddos. Crafts + Kids = Insanity!

And, as an added bonus, if you invite a friend(s) and they decide to do the craft as well, we'll give you one foot of custom vinyl for free with no limit to the number of friends or free vinyl! We are so excited to start doing this every month and hope that you'll join us! Can't wait to hear from you.

You may have seen these before, but some people have asked to see them again. So, if you're interested in any of these past projects, let us know and you could do them at a craft class any month! A few could be sold as just the kit and you can finish them at home.

Blessings Plate - $8

Harvest Blessings Board - $15

Gratitude Sign - $10

Autumn Blocks - $15

Halloween Countdown - $10

Family Board - $15

This is our most popular craft! It comes with the routered board (ready to hang), the personalized family name in vinyl, and the phrase "families can be together forever" in vinyl.

This adorable block measures 12" wide and 5.5" tall and is made using scrapbook paper, mod podge, the word FAMILY in vinyl, and upholstery tacks.

Stackies - $15 for all or $5 each

Our next most popular craft are these adorable "Stackies." What a great way to multi-task your holiday decor! You will get three sets of wood blocks that stack together with writing on both sides for different seasons.

Glass Block - $20

This next project comes with a 8" x 8" x 3" glass block that is pre-drilled to accommodate the christmas lights that are included. The vinyl comes ready to attach in "Let it" (navy) "Snow" (silver) and the ribbon is cut and ready. Nothing else is needed!

This beautiful clock is 24" in diameter and can be personalized with faux painting and vinyl lettering.

Christmas Clipboard - $20

This is an adorable way to display your Christmas Cards...just clip them on! It has 10 clips attached with ribbon woven through the tops for decoration. You will paint the board, attach the vinyl lettering, weave the ribbon through the clips and glue the clips on.

Binkie Clips - $5

These adorable binkie clips are made with ribbon, velcro and snaps. These great clips are great as gifts to help future moms to keep track of their pacifiers in style.

Pendants - $3

These pendants are all the rage right now! Just go to any mall and you'll find a kiosk selling these kind of pendants for $5+++! The best thing about this project is that you can either choose from one of our adorable scrapbook papers or you can choose to bring one of your own.
